WOLMER'S MISSION

"To be an efficient and effective educational organizationdedicated to producing well rounded individuals, from pre-primary to post-secondary, capable of meaningful contribution to society."


To fulfill the mission, donations and contributions are used for the following purposes
1.

Assistance to the Schools in Jamaica that typically include the following:

  • Science lab equipment
  • Library resources and facilities
  • Computers
  • Emergency building repairs due to disasters
 2.

Assistance to students who come to the USA to represent the Schools in events that include the following:

  • United Nations International Seminars
  • Penn Relays
  • Assistance in emergency situations
At present, donations are not tax deductible The Association is in the process of filing
for IRS status to remedy this.

Membership is open to all former students of the Wolmer's Schools in Kingston, Jamaica.

 
Membership dues are $50.00 annually and are used to defray the following expenses:
  • Monthly Membership meeting venue fees
  • Website registration and hosting
  • Post Office Box charges
  • Mailing and postage
  • 800 number service
  • Administrative cost
  • Bank account fees and other administrative costs

The monthly meeting of the Alumni Association will be held on the last Friday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at Flowers Fitness Center, 219-10 South Conduit Avenue, Springfield Gardens, NY (corner of South Conduit and Springfield Boulevard). For general information, please call:

Fellow Wolmerians,

The Wolmer’s Alumni Associations have collaborated on a major fund raising initiative to raise money for our beloved Alma Mater. We are compiling a taste-tempting cookbook featuring favorites from our very own “Wolmer’s” family kitchens, international favorites, and award winning recipes.
